What are the extra services available?

Along with the usual GP services provided, we have extra services available here at Swanson Medical for your convenience. These services usually incur an additional cost.

• Repeat prescribing (when you have not seen a doctor)
• Liquid nitrogen treatment
• ACC and minor accident treatments
• Home visits
• Minor surgery
• ECG
• Spirometry
• IUCD insertion
• Jadelle insertion
• Ear syringing
• Travel vaccinations
• Aclasta infusion
• Desensitisation treatments (when they have been prescribed by an Allergy specialist)
• Insurance, employment or drivers medicals
• Joint injection and other musculoskeletal injection

How it works

We will work with you to provide the right service at the right time. If you need to have any of these additional services we will advise of the cost. Some of these services may attract special funding for certain patients through our PHO, Procare.
